Everybody’s taste but mine is wrong! It’s true, I read it somewhere*.
I like a diverse cultural experience (I live above a halal fried chicken restaurant, for instance), and it’s great if we cast a large net with our personal tastes. But the idea that something from another country isbetter just because it’s from somewhere different is a little insane! It just perpetuates the belief that a person or a culture can be better than any other one. But that isn’t true! We’re all people. Shitty, terrible people.
